Riyad Seervai
BASS | BCM-MS2 | Bombay, India
Year joined: 2014
Bio:
Riyad was born in Bombay and is still from there. He landed up in Providence (America's favourite city) in 2009, where he studied Biology and Music at Brown. After a year in New York working at Rockefeller University and attending concerts from Carnegie Hall to Brooklyn Bridge Park he moved to Houston and joined the MD/PhD program at Baylor. He plans on joining the Molecular and Cell Biology (MCB) department next year, studying the mechanisms that drive cancer forward. Whether studying or not, Riyad is perpetually on spotify, be it Wagner's Parsifal (for the 112th time), Agnes Obel, or random country songs.
Music interests:
Western/Indian Classical, Opera, Nils Frahm, Agnes Obel, Florence, George Ezra, Agnes Obel... I'll take pretty much anything
Are you more of an F sharp or flat?
F-flat is a rebel that refuses to be E and makes life a little more complicated but a whole lot more exciting!
