Bio:

Lois was born in Indiana to a family of southerners. She moved to Michigan as a toddler, and established her identity as a Michigander while living in 4 cities, all within the metro Detroit area. Her first exposure to singing was being forced to karaoke "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" at family New Year parties in Louisiana.  Lois went to college at the University of Michigan in Ann, Arbor. She is pursuing an MD/PhD at Baylor, so she'll have plenty of time to assimilate to Houston culture.

 

Music interests:
Some favorites are Sufjan Stevens, Feist, Regina Spektor,  Lila Downs, and Calle Trece. Also whatever plays on FM 90.1 on Sunday.

 

What led you to retire from time traveling?
Turns out that time is a loop that plays on repeat. So once you make it through once or twice it's best to quit.

 

What is your dream ingredient on Iron Chef?
Avocado
